War...what is it good for anyway? Absolutely nothing!? Check out Paddy the Drunken Gamer's Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning review to see how Thirteen1 rates GOA's epic PvP MMO.
Between the declarations of all-out gaming warfare we took an in-depth look at Spore, got everybody on the forum furiously mass-debating, got hands-on with Runes of Magic and sleep-walked out way through the rather bizarre world of Dreamlords.
Finally, not sure which games you should be tracking or adding to your early Christmas wish-list? With exclusive interviews, previews and the new 'Games Roundup' feature we bring you info on all of the up-coming titles that matter.
We told you it was too good to miss...

Jan. 2009
January is a notoriously quiet month in the gaming calendar, but that hasn't managed to keep the Thirteen1 team from getting another awesome issue out to you.
2009 is shaping up to be another stellar year for gaming, with a ton of top titles scheduled for release over the coming 12 months.
This month's T1 highlights the titles that you should be anticipating the most this year, telling you exactly what you need to know about each of them.
You know we're good like that, and we promise you'll be drooling with excitement after checking out our 2009 - A Gaming Odyssey feature!
We've packed in a few of our usual top-title reviews for you to read up and spend your pennies on in the January sales too.
We jumped, climbed and danced around Ubisofts glorious looking Prince of Persia, killed as many songs as possible with Microsoft's Lips, rocked our little hearts out to Guitar Hero: World Tour and built some rather bizarre looking contraptions with Banjo and Kazooie's latest adventure from Rare, Nuts & Bolts...
..and just incase Santa wasn't good enough to you...
You can bag yourself a top-notch Gainward overclocked 9800GTX+ graphics card, courtesy of the generous people behind Runes of Magic. Just read the mag to find out how you can get hold of this post-Christmas treat.

Feb.2009
That Christmas stash of games is probably starting to dry up now, so get your head buried in our review pages to check out the best offerings to keep you going for another month.
It's Friday the 13th spooky so we just had to bring you a review of Sega's new House of the Dead for the Wii, released today. We carry on the ghoulish theme with Konami's Silent Hill Homecoming too, and then totally forget about it all to do some kick-flips with Skate 2.
The awesome looking Runes of Magic is edging closer to it's official release date, so we finally sent the Drunken Gamer into the world of Taborea to see what his MMO mind makes of it all.
In-between a sip or 10 of Guinness, of course!
We managed to get hands-on with the beta of Plain Sight too, a stupidly cool robot-fighting online game where the aim is simple yet original kill others, then kill yourself to get the points.
Freebies! Freebies! Freebies!
If you've already lost interest in all your Christmas presents and need more stuff, there are a few comps in this issue to help you out!
You could bag Lord of the Rings Online - one of Paddy's recent favourite MMO's, SouthPeak's new game Xblades, a PSP with CID the Dummy goodies, Runes of Magic t-shirts and Plain Sight merchandise too. Well worth checking out!
That's about it magazine-wise for another month, time for the team to take a well earned rest.

March 2009
With Spring coming thick and fast we've somehow resisted the better weather and remained inside, locked in a small, windowless room to bring you the titles you need to be getting your hands on - and those you should avoid at all costs!
Let's be honest, we had no chance of seeing sunlight with Street Fighter IV hitting the shelves, a game so highly anticipated that Paddy has been giving us constant 'Hadouken's' since it was announced. He swears he'll get it right one day and manage a 'real-life' Ryu-type blast. We're staying clear...
We simply had to review it! So there's a thorough look at Capcom's latest instalment in the SF franchise tucked away in these very pages!
We've also managed to kick Covenant ass in Halo Wars, Ensemble's RTS take on the mega-popular Halo franchise, get down and dirty in the zombie-ridden trenches of Eidos' ShellShock 2: Blood Trails, and then went back in time a few years to play the exact same scenario again in 505 Game's Necrovision.
You can expect a review of potential genre-defining FPS Killzone 2 on the PS3 too. Does it really live up to the hype?
There's loads of other delights tucked away in the latest issue, which also marks the start of our brand new regular 'Breaking Into The Industry' feature, which will help you yes, you! - get a job in gaming with top tips from industry professionals.

May 2009
We've been working tirelessly over the past month to keep your favourite magazine evolving, with a bunch of software tweaks and loads of top content resulting in the greatest, smoothest Thirteen1 read yet. We hope you'll agree!
This edition is jam-packed with bags of top content to flick through such as our special preview feature of Dragonica, an up-coming side-scrolling MMORPG that is winning all sorts of plaudits in the Thirteen1 office.
Over the course of the month we've managed to get lost and lonely in the dark with Chronicles of Riddick, bossed an entire city in The Godfather II, made a return to Taborea to catch up with Runes of Magic, shown that we just don't care in our underwear with Naked War, and burnt a bunch of bad-ass ballerina zombies in Burn Zombie, Burn.[snip]
While we are very much looking to the future, our blast from the past in the anniversary edition must have appealed to the retro corner of our brain, because this issue is rammed with old-school goodness!
There's the start of a brand new section where we take a look back on classics like Earthworm Jim and Abe's Odyssey. We dice with smiley-death in HeatBeam's retro-hearted Emotigeddon, go deep into the world of Geneforge 5 AND save the human race with Gravity Core.
Beta Key Giveaway!
Between the furious gameplay sessions, we caught up with the guys behind Omerta - the Mafia MMORPG to get a sneaky peak of their brand new version 3.0 release and a bunch of exclusive beta-key invites so you can play it!
Flip to page 5 of the mag now to get your hands on one!

It's been an exciting month for gaming, with this years E3 turning out to be one of the best in the conventions history. All of the big players came to the convention and blew audiences away with their announcements, from the likes of Project Natal to upcoming sequels and new IP's.
We've rounded up all of the best bits in this issues handy "Best of E3" section, just incase you missed a few, or happen to think Natal is some kind of futuristic space programme.
This top also issue sees Paddy the Drunken Gamer finally getting the chance to clear his hangover by flying into lampposts with the beta of Champions Online, Cryptic's hugely anticipated superhero MMORPG. Be sure to check out his hands-on preview, where you can discover the true depths of the games much-heralded character creation and battle features!
We go hands-on with The Sims 3, the latest instalment in EA's Sims mega-franchise, zip around bullet-filled skies in Battlestations: Pacific and head on back to the wastelands with Broken Steel, the latest DLC offering for Fallout 3.[snip]
Not enough? Then why not check out our review of the oddly original Zeno Clash, indulge in a bit of team-based fun with Killing Floor. We even found the time to make a name for ourselves with inFamous, Sucker Punch's PS3 exclusive release does this game really test the power of the PS3?
And that's nowhere near all, as you can expect the usual mix of rants, interviews, retro goodness and gaming related features too. And, of course, we haven't forgotten about the prizes!
Free Comps and Giveaways!
As always, the latest issue of T1 comes with loads of free gaming goodies for you to get your hands on!
We've got loads of games to giveaway this month to keep you occupied, including your choice of 10 awesome retro titles courtesy of GoG, as well as 10 copies of Zeno Clash and many, many more...
Quality prize if we may so ourselves.
Enjoy the issue!

July 2009
What a crazy month! The sun has pounded down on us - causing everyone to sweat and Gow to be blinded by his hayfever (to our amusement), Michael Jackson passed away (maybe he melted in this heat?), and the games have been coming thick and fast to take our minds off it all.
This issue has us zapping ghosts and ghouls as we review the most anticipated release of the year in Ghostbusters, sticking the middle finger up at gravity with Dejobaan's free-falling Aaaaa and trudging through the wastelands with Point Lookout the latest Fallout DLC.
Even our friends at Omerta got in on the act, finally releasing Version 3 after 2 years of development. To celebrate, we've got a giveaway in the mag to get you started on the road to becoming a top gangster.
In one of the worst decisions probably ever made, we handed all of the minion-controlling based games over to our Drunken Gamer this month. That's right - the drunken, tyrannical, power-tripping gamer got to command minions in Overlord II and an entire city in the Cities XL beta! So he likes a bit of strategy, what could go wrong?...
The result? His reign of terror bled through to the office, and we all work for him out of fear now!
There are plenty of Q&A's here to keep you happy this month too, as we catch up with the guys behind Fairytale Fights, Huxley mainly to figure out why it's taking so damn long and even celebrity/top lyricist Scroobius Pip (one half of Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip). Turns out he's as big on games as he is music.
Throw in an exclusive Magic Road Online giveaway, the ever-present retro goodness and rants on everything gaming from the T1 team and our readers, and you've got another top issue of Thirteen1 to clamp your eyes on.
Free Comps and Giveaways!
As always, there are load of top-gaming goodies to be won too! We've got the awesome retro-gaming contest for the 3rd issue running, copies of Overlord II and Fuel to giveaway and more...check it out now!
Enjoy the issue!
