Lots of flashy graphics keep things lively, but the course material itself is rock solid--it's been approved by an academic panel. Following some basic information on where Spanish is spoken, the real lessons begin with instruction on pronunciation and the Spanish alphabet (which, of course, uses some typographical symbols not used in English). A bit of vocabulary is imparted as the pronunciation lessons progress, and after some pointers on capitalization, simple lessons in practical conversation begin. The video

proceeds to the inescapable bane of many language students, conjugating verbs. While this production won't be a substitute for an actual course in Spanish (and the cast specifically points out that it doesn't intend to be), the presentation is consistently energetic, with the lessons easy to remember. Someone who is interested in learning (or reviewing) basic material will no doubt gain from watching it.

Hi Friends. I'm sorry for the long time it took me to get the new files up. The ripped DVD is 789 MB but has 39 separate .avi files!. Compressing it as an ISO image did not help, as RS.c*m only allows a max of 200 MB for uploads, and won't compress and split files that are already compressed (for example, the ISO).

If anyone knows how to pack all of these files into one neat ISO for uploading to RS.c*M, please PM me, or send me a tutorial link. I'll repost it in that format once I know how. All the files compressed as a .rar file is 700 MB.

I've used 4 different DVD rippers, and for all of them, the result was 39 separate files of varying sizes, instead of one nice .avi or mpeg file (as I'm used to with the other movies & tutorials I've ripped).

Instructions
Unrar all the files and move them into one big folder. Sort the files alphabetically by name, and then you'll have the format that my DVD ripper has extracted the movie to. You can then burn them to DVD, and play them on a DVD player that supports playing sequentially over multiple files. Or create a playlist in your favorite movie player in the alphabetical order, and watch them in sequence.

Previous Post - Problem Now Fixed!
I have just been alerted by a forum member that there is a problem with this video. It is supposed to be 90 minutes long, but in fact is only 26 minutes. I had not noticed this before. (Problem with the process I used to rip the original movie). Sorry about that folks. The current video only has the first 26 minutes, so please give me a few days to re-upload. My apologies for the inconvenience. I will be more diligent in previewing stuff before uploading them.
